   Beth Tilston

Beth's skills are project managment, climate change and peak oil education and development, event organisation, writing and journalism, research, Permaculture consultancy, big-picture thinking, developing and connecting, fundraising.  You can find her online CV here

Beth has years of experience in project management and event organisation working on such projects as the conference to celebrate the international Polar year and Swap-o-rama-rama. She spent a year doing a local food challenge - eating only food that came from within 100 miles of where she was.  She wrote about this for a number of publications, including Permaculture Magazine, and is now writing a book on living a 'local' life.  She has done research for organisations such as The Life Project and the Transition Local Food Guide.  Beth has a Permaculture Design Certificate and uses Permaculture as a guiding philosophy.  She has also undertaken a ten week 'Cookability' course, training her to teach cooking skills.  She has fundraised successfully for numerous projects.

Beth's passions are 'skilling up for powerdown' - learning new skills that will be needed in a post-peak oil world - i.e. growing veg, scything and bike mechanics.  She also loves keeping in fit in interesting ways, from training for a marathon to learning Lindy Hop.
